Europelab Laboratory is a GMP certified facility through Health Canada. Good Manufacturing Practice is a system of quality standards that are set to guarantee that products are consistently produced and controlled according to the set processes and procedures. This certification ensures the traceability within the manufacturing process to guarantee the safety of the cosmetic product.

In order to protect and improve Canadians national public health, all cosmetics sold in Canada must meet the requirements set by the Cosmetic Regulations and the Food and Drugs Act. The Health Canada certification guarantees the safety of the cosmetic product.

Europelab Laboratory is an FDA approved manufacturing site. In the US, cosmetics are regulated by the FDA as outlined in the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). The law requires that every cosmetic and personal care product and its ingredients be substantiated for safety before going to market, and that they contain no prohibited ingredients.

The main objectives of COSMOS standard are promoting the use of ingredients from organic production, the responsible and respectful use of natural resources, clean processing and manufacturing that are respectful of human health and the environment, and integrating and developing the concept of green chemistry.

Cosmébio is one of the five founding members that developed the standard specifications for COSMOS. It is commonly referred to as the technical and ethical mark of trust as it has cosmetic requirements to meet criterion beyond the minimum percentage of naturally sourced and organically produced ingredients.
